Futuristic Google Nexus Glasses Concept by Jonas-Daehnert Futuristic Google Nexus Glasses Concept by Jonas-Daehnert
This is a little preview of my new 'Nexus Concept Series".
It shows the "New Google Glasses". Totally done in 3D.

- Two prisms and two cameras for real 3D FullHD recording
- Controlled by cellphone (save your recorded videos directly on your phone) via bluetooth
- Shutter glasses for watching 3D videos

The whole concept (including completely ecosystem: TV, Handheld, etc) will released in the next few days @t3n.de

Cool!

I like the way you've integrated the prisms into the frames, though, I think I'd prefer them in the style of "bifocals" on the bottom side of the lenses.

Or maybe, instead of making them prisms that defocus light and project it into your eye, make them prisms that defocus the light and project it onto the eye-side surface of the lenses so that it reflects into your eye, making it seem like the display is literally overlaid onto what you see.

You could also use dark LCD to create dark backing to the bifocal area, which you could enable and disable with taps to the side of the frames.

Anyways, cool stuff!

This is something that I will want to get.

But what if you incorporated the tech into fashion glasses?

If I ever needed glasses, I would NEED these. It's just amazing.

What I like most about this, is the fact that it looks sensible, unlike the current google glasses which looks downright embarrassing.

Can one actually buy this? If so, what kind of phone does one need? And how expensive? This is so incredible amazing! :D

Are the prisms clipping with the frame? They look like they are overlapping.

Hi,

yes, you're right. My target was to create a realistic concept. It based on the current design. To integrate the prisms in to the whole glasses would be the next step. Of course it would be nicer. But I think this step is far away.

Here you can see more pics in detail: It's a part of a bigger concept.

What 3D software do you use? (Modelling and rendering)
